I don’t get the blanket outrage for people being landlords.

They can't.   The elections are not controlled federally,  and if there is no result by Jan 19th, Trump and Pence are no longer in office, and it passes down the line of succession (Pelosi).

They have money and Dump. They’ll simply cancel the elections. Hell, COVID spreading across the land is the best excuse ever.

However, if our politicians wanted to bail them out and not large corporations who mishandled their profits, that would be a good way to help.

I think the thing people are missing is if (well, I guess, when) the healthcare system is overwhelmed EVERYONE dies. That kid having an anaphylactic reaction? Dead. That 20-something having an asthma attack? Dead. Pretty much anyone with cancer? Dead.

My niece rents from a landlord who is property rich and has a limited income. He has told her he’s sorry she and her husband have both been laid off however the rent is still due.

My guess is, in reality, Dan Patrick would be about the last person to make the ultimate sacrifice for any reason. Rightists always talk a good game when others have to pay the price.

I have no issues with Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard owning a building and I think they’re being really good landlords by not charging rent for April. It’s decent and I wish my apartment complex would do the same.
