That's awful. I hope it wasn't printed in a COBRA notice.

@chiieddy: I've also noticed the sugar content of low/reduced fat foods is high. It's crazy how much junk gets subbed for the fat.

@artfuldodga: I agree, I love my Vista laptop I use at work. I wish I could run Ubuntu at work, but I'm very happy with Vista. I think it doesn't rock if one has to deal with a "Vista Capable" computer or something with an old video card or less than 2 gigs of ram.

@VayaConQueso: They exist, but you might not live in an area where they operate. I lived in what could be considered a "poor" neighborhood a few years ago and they stopped by all the time, especially the awful Kirby vacuum people. I hardly see door-to-door salesman now that I've moved to the other side of the city.

I really like the "How to Handle a Door-to-Door Salesman" article linked through the 3-day cooling off article. [www.getrichslowly.org] . The "get a big dog" advice is great.

@CallMeNewt: If you only purchase from stores with good return policies and nowhere else, then this law doesn't do much for you. You actually have a good policy for your purchases. However, as Deprong points out, this law is in place as a means to protect the public from high-pressure sales situations. Traveling

@mdevens: I recall from law school that internet orders are treated as phone orders. Although, you may have some sort of protection via your credit card company.

I like this conceptually, assuming one can opt-out of filtering. However, I am concerned that the govt. might be approaching this via a censorship model similar to what applies to television signals. It's not as if the FCC could effectively create a standards and practices model to cover the entire internet. The

I got a Big Skinny wallet and it's worked well [www.bigskinny.net] . Their website is awful but the wallet is nice.

My wife and I just use newspaper. We try to find sections of the paper that have entertaining stories to use as wrapping. Alternatively, I use the sales circulars from a Sunday paper as the concept of wrapping gifts in advertisements entertains me a great deal.

@maalmeida: That is a perfect idea! Makes me wish I knew how to write a Greasemonkey script.

@illtron: I would agree, but I wonder if there's a way to have an option for a simple view which is built for beginners, or even a wizard. Granted, output from a wizard oriented system would not be the best, but allowing for an advanced controls view would resolve the issue for those who want to see every option.

@achoke: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that use of the MediaStream theme in XBMC left Plex and XBMC equal. It's just a note for XBMC users who don't have a Mac, like me, but like the look of Plex. If Apple would ever make a new Mini, I would be giving Plex a serious look. Until then, I'm not switching off of

Anyone who wants the look of Plex in XBMC can download the theme at [www.teamrazorfish.co.uk] . I'm using it on my XBox and it looks nice.

This is a good idea. Moving a step further, I would love some sort of shopping cart functionality in the AMO site so I could drop all my addons to into a cart and install them all in one shot.

Great timing, I actually need to use this tool in about an hour. Thanks Kevin and LH!
