I'm running Vista SP1 and the update along with all my extensions seem to be working fine. I don't use TMP since I only needed a couple features that other extensions provide. Regardless, TMP users should edit about:config or install MR Tech and call it a day.

@mmmsoap: Yes, but in theory, shouldn't the local median salary account for the higher cost of living in San Francisco or Boston?

@Keter: Do you want to get work done or do you want to make it look like you're working?

I would not hate voice mail so much if people could leave useful messages or if it were not filled with telemarketers. Every time I see my VM light blinking at work, I know it's going to be an interruption that has little value. I either get messages with little to no information and leaves me unable to prepare for

@Ender15: Good call. I didn't think about using such a folder. Thank you.

This thing didn't seem too happy with Vista. I'm getting all sorts of errors regardless of running the installer as admin. It looked neat, but I guess I don't see a need for it in the end.

Thanks for all your hard work Gina.

We just recently implemented one at my work. It's still in the early stages but I'm quite pleased with it already. The focus is on health education, eating right, exercising, and preventative screenings. I hope it works out.

That stinks... Amarok is not an option at the moment. I did some digging and Amarok 2 will not build. Oh well, I'll keep waiting.

Nice! I'm off to if I can get Amarok working in windows. *crosses fingers*

My laptop works great with Vista. However, it came with Vista pre-loaded and had the horsepower. I think Vista is generally great for new computers only. Vista was junk on my old PC, but it's amazing on my new laptop. I've had zero problems with the OS.

I just ripped all my DVDs, and CDs, to an Ubuntu server on my network. I stream everything to XBMC while the DVDs sit in a box in the attic.

@wa6ACx: Get chalk board paint and make one. You can get it in a spray can or a traditional paint can for brush/roller applications. Just make sure you put a good primer on the surface before you do anything with chalk board paint.

Hmm... Now, I kind of want to cover my fridge in this stuff.

@dangerp: I'm a lawyer and I work in corporate America and I agree with you fully. I suspect that at some point the top-talent will begin seeking jobs with less out-of-office workloads. I work long days on occasion and will have to work from home or my cell at times, but I would never go to a job that might force me

From my experience, running fans clockwise in the winter on their lowest speed will help your energy bills a small amount. Running them at high in the winter didn't do much for me. However, I have energy star fans, which means the low speed is very low, and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

On Windows... Vote: MediaMonkey

This all depends on the type of car and the type of oil. A 1973 Ford cannot, and should not, use synthetic oil and will need the 3,000 mile oil change. However, a 2008 Honda that was built to use synthetic oil and can withstand a longer period between changes. A post 2004 car can handle 10,000 miles between synth
