I think they ran 1:27.xx on their Miata. If he would have used more of the track (if Yuri would have let him) & push it harder, it probably had a 1:28-1:29 in it. 

250hp for 2800lbs is still not a terrible power:weight ratio for a street car 20 years ago.

1:30.xx is pretty respectable for that track, that is close to stock Miata & BRZ (on stock tires). It’s also a demanding track, very corner focused. So it’s really suits the handling cars over power cars. 

Sneaky turbo it. It still be comfortable cruiser, but eat anything that's trys to race it. 

You missed an opportunity “parking $25/day”, easy money.
