What I don't get about this is; it's the Chicago Public School System. There's almost nothing BUT Black and Brown students there. Black and Brown people make up a majority of the school board. What was the thought process behind this?

Just from a practical application standpoint, how is this plan supposed to work? CPS is cash strapped; over 1000 employees were laid off last year. Teacher retention rates aren't that great either.
In order for this plan to be effective, these kids are going to need sustained, one-on-one career counseling. But the

"And, were it not for the millions of white men who gave their lives in World War II, we might all be starting the work day with the Nazi salute."

I'm a big fan of Black Hammer. Are The Flintstones really that good; I've seen a couple of people on these boards praising it, but nobody at my LCS has ever mentioned reading the book.

My two favorite comics this year would probably be Hillbilly by Eric Powell, followed closely by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (still the best long-running narrative in comics, imo).

I can't do ice water - hurts my teeth.

I don't have cable, I'm not on twitter, I spend a grand total of five minutes on Facebook every two months just to let my family know I'm alive.

Nope, they haven't told that boy nothing.

Personally, I love Angela for the same reason I love Hamlet; they're scumbags, but they're rarely allowed to look competent. Seeing them constantly trip over themselves is highly addictive for me.

Nah. I'd have to relearn how to ride a bike. Who's got that kind of time?

Russia, China, India…as Trump is steadily turning the US more parochial, all of these Joe @ss nxggas are sliding into America's former sphere of influence, whispering "All the things your man won't do…I'll do them for you."

I recently read a book- The Savage City by T.J. English - that had portions that focused on Dhoruba bin Wahad and the NY Black Panthers/NOI.

Meh. It's annoying, but we can't put up a fence and keep ALL the undesirables out. A couple are bound to get through.

But they fun, tho.

Why are they angry?

I've never been outside of the country; it's something I hope to do one day.

What gets me is how instinctive it was. I actually apologized to the girl I was with almost tearing up in front of her. That's just weird.

R. Kelly won three Grammys for making a song about that exact subject.

Peter Pan exists to remind us all that children are sociopaths.

The last time I legit cried was when I saw G Baby get killed in Hardball. I was 12 years old and was absolutely mortified. One of my childhood friends was murdered a couple of years ago, and when I felt tears coming I immediately forced them down.
