I think that's more KSD's choice than Image's, re: backmatter. Things like the essays and text pieces from the issues of Bitch Planet or the various Brubaker series are supposed to be incentives for people to buy the single issues.

Why a PDF? PDFs are so clunky. Get them as a cbr or cbz. I think Comixology only uses cbz (of those 2), and Humble Bundle was using both for a while. It's just a bunch of jpegs inside a renamed zip file. Even things that I've gotten in PDF read better using my comic reader (Simple Comic)… so maybe it's a problem with…
