Given I’m away 12 hrs a day, my current strategy when convenient is to leave the problematic vehicle with my local mechanic and get him to figure out the issue, pay him for his time for diagnosis, then order the parts and do it myself.

Of course the shielding will be built into every car but won’t be activated if you haven’t paid for the premium package.
