When I was a kid, we had a family friend visit us from France. We had to explain to him that he could keep the water on in the shower the whole time. Otherwise he’d turn the water on, get wet, turn it off, lather, turn it on, rinse, and repeat. Seems to be common over there due to high costs.

To be fair I had that happen on a Mazda, top caliper bolt came out and when I braked, the caliper jammed into the inside of the wheel. I had done brakes about 2 weeks before so must just not have tightened it properly.
