Would anyone care to estimate the profit of Tesla selling the FSD package over the years? How much have people paid for something which will most likely not happen within the useful life of the vehicle?

Ideally speaking, the EV with the smallest battery to meet your needs would be the most efficient. Carrying 1000 extra pounds around, can’t be good for the environment.

Ford has a similar record of success with their variable cam timing technology on the 3v tritons. I disabled it and have come to learn to remains a problem on the 5.0. Similar to the GM AFM, it’s better to disable for reliability reasons.

Looking at RockAuto, they list the same part for 2016 mustang 2.3l as the Focus RS 2.3l head gasket of that year. Did they come up with a gasket that works for both?

I would be more concerned if the car honored a Country with recent mass detentions, slave labor, lack of rule of law like China or North Korea. They are the “Nazis” of the present.

A manual transmission would be drudgery in snow plow truck, unless you were plowing streets for the town or something where you don’t reverse direction every 10 seconds.

Something along these lines will be needed for Electric long haul trucks to be practical. At least the battery storage in the trailer part.

We’re all a little safer, and a little less alive.

“A DT466 makes up to about 300 HP and 860 lb-ft torque”

When I squint, it reminded me of my first gen Olds Aurora. I was a little surprised to find out the Arteon is only 100lbs lighter.

I used to have to park my v6 fiero on the steepest hill to burp the system, seemed to work.

The first diesels used compressed air to push the fuel in.

Most of us still alive, at least those of us over 50, wouldn’t be here to complain about Capitalism, if it weren’t for the medical advances created by American capitalism. But it does make us look cool and concerned to complain about the inequities of an imperfect system.

The problem is that Tesla has one part number for the battery pack with no sub components listed. A Tesla service center would have no other options, unless they had a junk battery pack laying around. I would hope that will be covered with “right to repair” legislation.

Are they going to sell a non forward control version? I can understand highway pegs for comfort on the open road but at least that let’s you stand on proper pegs when needed.

I had 2 Fiero’s, one with the “iron puke” auto trans and a 86 GT with a 2.8 4 speed. The 4 banger spontaneously combusted, so I bought the GT. I consider it a fire of good fortune.

I think it’s great for engineering advances but for fans, not so much.

The output pipe on the air compressor is copper for cooling the air as well as containing it. We tried to use a rubber hose to replace a chafed copper line and found out.

I have used liberal amounts of Vaseline in new oil pumps with no adverse effects. If the head is only fed oil through the pushrods, it won’t feed without the engine running and lifter pumping.

If it wasn’t Toyota, I might worry more.
