Many of the local Targets now have liquor stores, or they are being added. They do have to have a separate entrance so you have to make 2 purchases, but you can indeed run to Target to get a beer, or wine. And the upside is that they specifically stock a lot of local beers.

Ditto! I was a chemistry major that switched from engineering, and I wound up graduating in 4yrs instead of 5. Looking back I wished I’d stay at least an extra semester so that I could have studied abroad, even if it was a summer term. Alas, I am a poor and I spent my summers interning for much needed cash.
