Funny how we can go from “games incite violence!” to “don’t let them take our games!” depending on what’s convenient at the time.

If it’s your own device that you also sometimes use for work then fair game, but if the work laptop is not yours and they are only lending it to you, then I can get why they get so stingy on what you can and cannot do with it.

If the game needs a “shut up” slider then it means at least one developer was aware of how annoying the character is.

IMO this is for the best. I remember the Dishonored games in particular. You have a bunch of cool powers.... but if you use them bam, you get the bad ending. To get the good ending you have to ignore all the fancy powers and play the game barebones the boring way, it just becomes frustrating and annoying.

But won’t it have the opposite effect? The audience will notice the permanent stare looks off and unnatural so rather than seem more engaged you’ll look fake.
