Design elements of the Hino Samurai can be found in the De Tomaso P70 which was also penned by Brock. The P70 was also a project with Shelby that was cancelled because of the GT40 taking all his attention. 

As a designer it must have been awful for Brock to see his creation not live up to its full potential,  and then as a team owner for Shelby to steal the Toyota 2000GT racing program from him.

I’m sure Mazda had a serious case of buyer’s remorse after the 2018 season. This year they dismissed some of Joest’s engineers and much of their turnaround has been due to Multimatic’s direct involvement.

For $1500 I bet there are plenty of track day heroes that would get it.

I thought “bagger” specifically referred to cars with ride height adjusted by airbags, and hydraulically controlled height was “juiced”.  Has anybody actually said “juiced” since the 90s?

At a car show I saw a classic Mini EV converted by Moment Motor Company. They make an adapter so the stock transmission attaches to the electric motor with a clutch. The owner told me it’s driven in 3rd or 4th all the time.

Elevated rail makes it easier to chase a gunman on board.

Aesthetically it would look better if the sides tapered toward the top more, they look almost straight from the front view.  That may make it harder for drivers to get in and out though.

2015 wasn’t that long ago and it was never competitive because everything it promised didn’t work. The GT-R LM Nismo started from one of the guys who worked on the Deltawing and it was supposed to have hybrid electric drive to the rear wheels.
