Hah, having spent most of my years working on American cars, I’ve found them to be incredibly simple to work on.

Yeah, mine would not have been happy about that. Maybe the deal was “I get the car, you get the house”.

Exactly. In the end none of it really matters. What matters is comparing the before-after numbers.

Yeah, this is messing with me. I need a quick photoshop flip job to see how it would look.

Just a high-reading dyno. Seems to be more and more common these days.

Spot on. Were the cars put on the same dyno they’d probably be within 5hp of each other. This is why it’s completely pointless to brag about chassis dyno numbers.

Amazing how much money can be saved up with no rent, maintenance, kids, or debt to worry about. My wife and I lived with my parents for a year and paid off her credit card debt, my car loan, and saved over $10k to put down on a house.

Pretty sure that was me. I went to high school in the late 90s and was the only idiot who thought it would be cool owning a “classic” due to my dad having just finished restoring his ‘57 MGA. Had a faded sky blue ‘66 Pontiac Ventura with a 389 and a turbo 400 paired with a 2-barrel Rochester. The thing was a

And that is why I don’t drive fast in the rain.

Yep. When did the V6 start making under 300hp?

Looks like your standard Sienna driver mistaking the brake for the gas. Or maybe the worker had wet shoes and his foot slipped off and onto the gas.

Gotcha. I’ve been driving a car tuned for 93 octane for so long I don’t even consider it. Impressive they can squeeze 300+ hp out of regular gas. Actually, how much power does the Egoboost make on 87?

Good point. I was only thinking about the emissions side, which I would assume is a non-issue or else Ford wouldn’t be able to sell this package.

I would suspect you’re right. Egoboost guys tend to avoid anywhere that pressures them into opening the hood.

A tune and CAI for $700? Why not just have the new tune as standard on the car if it’s that much better? Seems stupid to leave so much power on the table.

Sorry, but there’s no way I can possibly garner any excitement from anything related to an Elantra. It’s just not going to happen.

Hah, my issue is after jumping to our 3rd star system my kid says “dad, let’s go back to Dinosaur Planet”, which was our starter planet.

“Reckless idiot puts himself and others in danger by straining already too-thin first responders! Should be locked in jail to rot!”

I’m actually on my way to an atlas station now (only playing when my kid wants to, so it’s slow going. He’s not really interested in getting to the center of the galaxy).

Were the driver and passenger sharing the new Apple wireless earphones? It looked like they each had one in opposite ears.
