“Same applies with a Ford Explorer. You’re looking at $50k - $60k for an explorer with all the toys....for a FORD! At that price point, I’m going to look at a near luxury brand.

I’m so tired of the Tech for Tech’s sake, and I’m a young person working in the high tech sector.

I have so much to say about your comment, I’m going to break it down.

I starred you because you’re spot on about buying more basic cars.  I only paid $19,500 for the new hybrid we drive.

That Combi looks perfect for making babies, too. Just sayin’.

Aren’t we all though?

Anyone not voting NP has no soul idea how to drive a stick.

I don’t have high hopes for the CT4. Its. basically a discount current generation ATS. The V variety has a large four cylinder that is probably a little rough and reluctant to rev.

Large sedans occupy a market segment with comparably less demand. Comparing the sales of a large sedan to a compact sedan doesn’t exactly provide much useful insight.

We are the minority it seems.

I agree with this take.  It will only look worse with time.

I think this thing looks as good as Chevy’s new truck, and in 15 years we’ll look back on it and laugh harder than we are now.

First impression: Grille.

You’re welcome.

Calling an EV a “Turbo” is absurd. I really dislike this blurring of automotive terms practiced by BMW, Mercedes, and now Porsche. It’s very un-German of them. The German language probably has a very specific word for precisely this type of thing.

Yes today it’s stupid, but today is much different from the early-mid 2010s. Luxury sedans were still selling well back then, it’s only been a couple years now that they’ve truly been dying out.

Looks like it has been done

I like low and sleek cars, and wagons are lower and sleeker than CUVs. Not all wagons are great looking, but the long roof visually lengthens their profile, which doesn’t work as well for CUVs because proportionally they are so much taller.

Its basically more efficient suv: lighter, lower and faster with same engine. Also cheaper, and more fun to drive(cause lighter). But company want to sell practicality at extra cost and its soo easy to charge more for clearance and extra space
