People want what people want. VW’s biggest sin is waiting so long to bring more SUVs to market - For a company that wanted to grow in the US, they’re late to the party.

I don’t think it’s that they’re buying foreign vehicles but buying a Mercedes. The post office keeps saying they are loosing money and constantly complaining that they run deficits, I think a postal carrier pulling up to a house with a Mercedes would not be viewed highly. People don’t know or care that the price of…
I admit that I poke fun at British Electronics (which to be fair, has been earned). That is the problem with these cars or any high end luxury car; as they age and depreciate people buying them on the cheap tend to avoid the required maintenance. The longer they go without the maintenance they need, the harder it…
If I could star you more than once I would....this is priceless and should be done by all of us......awesome.
But if these really will appreciate, isn’t it like money in the bank. Its almost irresponsible Not to buy it!
I’m with you. The only hesitation I have is the seller saying that the car is mechanically sound. Who’s he kidding, these weren’t mechanically sound new!
“First up, what’s the best way to stop those super annoying spam calls about your warranty?”
So this leads me down the rabbit hole some more. If it’s a simple re-flash of the ECU, why not do that? This tells me that who ever did the swap was inexperienced and what else was done “wrong”.
You had me NP until the “rattle” at start up. The rest of the problems aren’t that big, just things that need to be tackled one by one.
Most of the answers are bad but I think Tom’s answer was a good suggestion. It hit all of the buyer’s request - Not (too boring), towing, 7 seater (not sure if it’s comfortable).....
We have come a long way since the paperclip.....and the Paperclip was my friend.....
I had always thought it was a bad idea to have cars that compensate for stupid drivers. But my attitude regarding this is changing. I consider myself a good driver but in my youth, common sense may have at times lacked (sometimes I wonder how I’m still alive). I now two children, similar in age to your son Jason. One…
I don’t think the headlights are the problem. The majority of the front end is covered with grills. It has gotten to the point where you cannot mount the plate anywhere but on the grill (I know, move to where you don’t need a front plate...blah blah blah!!!). Now if you tell me you need all those grills for cool and…
I voted CP this morning on that E46.....seeing these, I may have to go change my vote....
Let me start by saying I love the E46 and think it was BMW perfection (I know it’s not but considering the fall they’ve taken in recent years, the E46 was a sweet spot). CP. It’s not the flaws (although there are many). It’s not the mileage (but it’s high). It’s the seller. Not the mask, not the comment about the…
In reply to Andrew’s question of “The open-mouth front end though, I’m just not sure how I feel about it.”
On a cars excpected to run 100K+, petty change.
Interesting.........Hmmmm......so maybe it’s not as far fetched....
LOL!
What you need to do is add screens to the outside of the car and have it project the wood trim. This would have multiple benefits. You could change the wood color or type - make it shiny or mat. Tons of benefits.
