If Kimmel were smart he’d film early and get clips out there just before Trump starts the State of the Union. Get him all wound up so he goes off the teleprompter and has a meltdown. #goodtv

The lovers’ pet names for each other are each other’s names. There’s also reading of the modernist book, which is steeped in classical references, that Elio is a kind of modern day Narcissus who has fallen in love with his own reflection. Problematic for some. Romantic for others.
Spoilers:
I’m not sure of what “pose the question” means to you. The film does have the older character express that he doesn’t ever want the younger one to “regret” the relationship or feel that it “messed him up.” As for why the older character falls in love—the film has a lot of scenes of them talking, flirting,…
I don’t want to spoil anything, but if you saw it, you wouldn’t think that way.
During a romantic moment, Oliver tells Elio “Call me by your name and I’ll call you by mine.” It becomes kind of a thing between them.
I second the nomination of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries! Terrific heroine, only light violence shown, and any misogynist characters are firmly dealt with. She’s the baddest flapper in all of 1920s Melbourne (and her outfits are also beyond fab).
Star Wars IX : Me by your Name call
Call Me (Maybe) By Your Name a musical with the entire soundtrack by Carly Rae Jepsen
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries? It’s mostly light and fairly humorous, although the first season does start right off with the main character confronting the guy who probably murdered her younger sister. I think the murder victims are pretty equally split in terms of gender.
You know, I got into it this past season because of Leslie Jones, who is a SuperFan, but I was totally put off by constant and unnecessary female nudity and rape in the early seasons and did not watch.
Please recommend mystery movies or tv shows that are not about serial killers or the violent rape/murder of young women! I’m just sick of it. Refuse to watch Criminal Minds. By looking at Netflix, you’d think genius serial killers lived on every block, rather than being extremely rare aberrations. I like the…
Yep. Even amongst the guilty like GoT, look how quickly they managed to drop a lot of the worst cases that “were needed for the plot” as soon as enough noise and actions hit their bottom line.
Wow. This is great. They’ll probably have 4 total entries. I am so sick of reading and watching stories that involve torturing women by men. The latest one was the movie Phantom Thread which was basically an abusive relationship (man abuses woman) wrapped in a fashion fairy tale. I thought it was basic as could be and…
Mark your journals, because this is the first time I’ve every agreed with GOOP, but I’d have to say that my relationship with my long since divorced ex is brotherly. He’s the father of my kids and I respect and honor him for that. As soon as I didn’t have to live with him, he was fine in my book.

Franco is so greasy looking, he probably just slid off the page.
Ummm, why is everyone feeding the trolls? That’s bad business.
Another great aspect of the story is that Chastain came up with a project that wouldn’t just break her out of the typical roles she plays, but would also help Spencer get out of “Mammy” jail, where, with some exceptions, she’s been stuck since The Help.
I love this story and the fact that Chastain didn’t tell it herself or use it to defend herself when she was recently called out for some colourblind nonsense tweet. So many of her ilk only do this shit (and not nearly this much) to later prove their legitimacy, allyship or wokeness when their racism is inevitably…
White folks who like to call themselves allies please take note. She acknowledged she didnt know shit, LISTENED, then did something meaningful without making it about her.
