Between the Trax and the Equinox. Trax is tiny, this is a bit bigger like a Cruze-sized and the Equinox is on the larger end of the compact class.

I’ve got to think the Express is bulletproof and the Transit while it looks more modern, is also going to cost a lot more in maintenance over time with the turbo-6 engine.
Most of these are highway haulers in many states that carry heavy cargo and it gives people an regular gas option over the more expensive/more pollutant Diesel options. Sure 401 HP sounds like a lot in a empty van, but load the thing up with mulch/pipes/etc and try and merge on a highway and I bet this will help make…
Where this bid is at is waaaay too low. This is probably the most interesting car I’ll ever see for sale! It’s just so quirky I think Doug wouldn’t be able to handle it! Maybe it will go for $200k but if it stays in the $50k range, it will be the steal of a century!
Yeah, the B9 Gen Audi S4 I have replaced the SC with the “Hot V” Turbo and Audi did the same across the lineup now. It’s all about Torque and the Turbo is better in that regard.
Image is still that it’s blue collar is his point, not actual costs. It’s a weird conundrum that they make these big luxury pickups but if you think about it, the Lincoln and Cadillac models failed partially because they had the wrong image. Truck people want both ways - to “look” humble by driving a mass market brand…
No, they would be. I can’t imagine how badly a 2-Door shorter wheelbase truck would drive with solid axles, a removable top and no weight on the back end. That’s another reason the Gladiator is how it is, they need the length (and relative weight) to get the ride to be tolerable.
But it can’t since the Wrangler is wildly successful and it cost more than the comparable Tacoma. They can’t charge less for the truck than the SUV it’s based on so they’re in a jam. There best bet is to just lessen their expectations on Gladiator sales.
I think they do OK but they over estimated the want for it. If they targeted 80-100 thousand per year vs the 250 thousand Wranglers I’d say they’d be on target. Problem is the Gladiator sort of digs itself into a smaller niche than expected. Majority of Wrangler buyers see it as too long and no more useful than the…
I’m literally talking to someone about buying a car and just said exactly what you did. Buy a Korean car over Nissan. Toyota/Honda are still better, IMO, but if you’re looking at a certain price point, say $10k, a year or two Korean car is the best bet.
2003 Nissan Maxima my dad bought when I was in high school that I learned to drive on. Was a well made car with a ton of power at the time for a midsized sedan. Too bad everything since 2005-2007 has been worse and worse. They were one of my favorite brands and they broke my heart!
If they can find a really nice Mazda Protege 5 that would be my pick. I had one new back in ‘03 and it still brings good memories. They were solid cars.
“Really it’s all probably just a thinly veiled marketing exercise to make sure an otherwise uninspired car has better chances of selling”
It was a bad call by Trump obviously to call out Renault but I think the point is they (the EU) put up barriers against American manufacturers while we don’t reciprocate on their items here. The only “French” automaker here is Bugatti and even that’s VWAG owned.
Isn’t it already the M240i?
All that teal... I like it!!!
Presented well? Putting up a car with 2 years worth of brake dust presented well?
Paying that much for a car this expensive new where the seller doesn’t even clean the wheels for pictures isn’t really a great idea.
Sheesh! I know people who bought them at MSRP around St Louis. Guess our market isn’t as stellar as Cali but I’d freaking drive here for that!
Back in 2001/2002 Mazda dealers put $2500 “Market Adjustments” on Tributes. Crazy times!
