Imagine if Marvel had just pushed pause after Endgame released and didn’t touch the MCU for five years, and then launched phase 4 with a “new avengers” film (bring back a few legacy heroes and then kill them in the movie, but, like, “permanently”, so you have to stay away from the multiverse), and *then* started in on

This move makes some sense to me. I think the PS5 has been beating the Xbox Series X pretty handily in sales this gen (you would know better), no doubt helped by a version of the full powered PS5 selling for $100 less than the Series X. For anybody who doesn’t care about disks and is looking to buy a new system, the

Wild that neither Odin Sphere nor Dragon's Crown were highlighted in this article! If you haven't played them, you should!

Is there no difficulty setting for World Tour that would make it feel less grundy so you can get back to the good stuff?

Halfway through the current console generation?

I’m pretty happy whenever I discover a deck building mechanic in a game.

Nothing "bit" about it. I wouldn't have clicked through on a more honest headline.

If you haven’t played the original, I can’t rec’ enough *not* trying to play Ragnorok immediately after finishing the original.

*couldn’t care less*

Its not like there isn’t precedent for this. Bundling a whole bunch of stuff together so you can charge the people who want just a couple of slices of that stuff, more, is a tried and true business model. Cable companies have been doing it for decades, and, given how incredibly "wide" Netflix's offerings have become,

Sounds like Chris Pratt channeling John Mulaney.

Weapon degradation and BoTW’s weather system had me quit the game long before the end credits.

Was going to make your point, but you did a much kinder job of it than I would have. Thanks!

From talking to at least one friend in the game development business, game development crunch happens because developers, like all humans, are fundamentally lazy, and without an intense, looming, and taskmaster driven deadline, shit doesn’t get done. 🤷‍♂️

I fundamentally don’t understand the big deal about the dual sense haptics. They don’t “do anything” for me, and I found them to actually be a detriment when playing Returnal. (I had to change the control scheme to actually play, and beat, the game.)

I take issue with “immersive sim” for Deatloop, because there’s only one (larger) path to completing the game. It’s fundamentally too linear to be an immersive sim. Furthermore, the range of playstyles you can adopt in order to complete the game is extremely limited. There’s no “no combat” option.

I also hated Sekiro, but, as a rule, I hate third person platforming.  I’m not at all excited about the addition of a jump button into the Dark Souls formula.

Oh, I like this.  I’m going to steal it.

Yep, I came here to say exactly this.  Since day 1, when I turn my TV on, my PS5 will turn on, and then while I’m trying to select Netflix, the input will automatically shift to my PS5's input.  I’m *very* happy I can now turn this very, very annoying “feature” off.

I made it probably 70% of the way through the original Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain on the PS1 just to have one of those 3rd-party memory cards with multiple “pages” fail on me and erase the save. I never finished it.
