I’m sorry. That’s terrible. I’m a Texan and the instant they called it for Ted Cruz, I shut the TV off. This isn't as depressing as 2016 was, but it's still upsetting. The good news is Democrats took the House. Maybe now those fucking cowards who were already there (and the ones in the Senate) will grow some balls and…
“Tremendous success tonight. Thank you to all!”
They’ve called the race for Spanberger against Brat! So proud of my fellow Virginians! I know Gillum’s loss is devastating, but his win was going to be a complete outlier if it did happen. However, Spanberger winning against Tea Party/Trumpster favorite Brat on a local level is fucking HUGE!!!!
He is officially King Turd of Shit Mountain.
I’m just shocked by Florida. I thought Gillum had it.
I really don’t understand Florida. There’s always so much hope for it, but somehow it always disappoints.
On the other hand it was a tight race and over 1 million people with criminal records are about to get their voting rights restored.
Floridian here. I’m sick to my stomach. I can’t believe Desantis won - though I’m not terribly surprised that Voldemort did.
Florida will always retain its swing state status due to age and gravity’s effect on balls and breasts.
If this happens, this means that the Mueller Investigation is still on, Healthcare is safe, immigration legislation (the bad one) is dead, Kavanaugh investigation is still alive, this is all very good stuff.
To hear her and her supporters tell it, she’s going to work to cultivate younger, more progressive Democrats for positions of power when she inevitably assumes the Speakership. You know, the exact opposite of what her and the old guard have been up to since the early aughts.
And it looks like Joe Manchin’s going to keep his seat. So the lesson every pundit and politician will come away from this loss is “Democrats should be more spineless and support Trump more! We need to find moderates who can pull insane Republican voters!”
Sorry, I get my right wing shitheads confused.
Oh wow, since 1984? What the fuck? I’m glad you’re finally getting your rights restored after serving your sentence so long ago.
As a convicted felon who waited since 1984 to finally vote, WOOHOO!
One of the few times in my life I will say this: I’m glad I live in Florida...so I could vote for this.
