What’s especially loathsome about these people making pro-Confederate statements is that they’re seemingly doing it for no other reason than to make “the left” mad.

Quite a few fundies actually *oppose* the US Constitution. So does much of the alt-right, even though it’s the only reason they’re not all in prison (or maybe that’s why they do oppose it).
