Flying from UK to South Africa in August (2 of us) and it cost's more to get both than just the flight and we don't actually need a car (would have got one if it had been cheaper though) but considering BA are already the cheapest direct flight (I'm not going via Dubai) I had nothing to loose by checking it out.

Thanks that makes sense. Although that begs the question if you can get even more performance out of it in a tablet why not use a 1.5GHz chip anyway?

Am I missing something or are the CPUs in tablets starting to get outpaced by phones. I know that clock speed isn't everything but a 1GHz Dual core? My phone has a 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz models are starting to emerge on the smart phone side.

Can I interject, I feel that an exception should be made for Englishman (such as myself), it's a way of life here, good sir - a ban on that word would be tantamount to silencing an entire country!

I read somewhere that some ridiculous percentage of BSOD's in the early days of Vista were caused by ATI or Nvidia

Facebook's support for tablets in general has been pretty shocking - as far as I'm aware they've still not got an iPad optimised version either.

Also it takes a while to get back into it after you've had a break - I did an internship year as part of my CS degree where I coded all day every day. Once I finished that I spent the entire summer intentionally avoiding any coding of any sort and by the time I got back to studying I was definitely rusty - it doesn't

Ahh I thought it might be something like that, I guess I missed the reference in the original as well.

Sorry, I'm from the UK so I'm assuming cultural knowledge is preventing me from having any clue about what you're talking about there? :s

It's an absolute outrage ... and don't get me started on all those people in snowy countries building snow men whilst people die of heat exhaustion in the desert. When will the world learn to stop having fun and start taking the logistical problems of cross state/country/continent irrigation seriously.

I personally prefer Jon Acuff's definition of a leader from his recent blog post:

The amount of time I spent playing Black ops in the final semester of my degree tells me that for me video games are an extremely good form of stress relief

No worries mate, hope it all goes well.

I know the system is different in the UK compared to the US in that we choose a Major subject to begin with then choose classes under the envelope of that subject (for me Computer Science). However I think the advice is applicable anywhere.

I have a similar problem on my HTC Desire. I managed to stave it off for a month or two by backing up all my phone numbers then clearing the data on the contacts storage go to: settings > applications > manage applications > all > contacts storage > clear data (at least that's where it is on the Desire and I would

it has one use - stripping formatting out of text, some applications don't have an easily accessible paste without formatting option so crack out notepad copy text, paste into notepad, ctrl+a and paste into application

As far as I recall there are 2 instances of Jesus feeding the crowds reported in the gospels you've got one occasion where 5 loafs and two fish fed the 5000 (reported in Matthew 14, Mark 6, Luke 9 & John 6) and the separate occasion (only reported in Matthew 15 & Mark 8) when he uses 7 loafs and a few small fish to

A piece of paper is my favorite - good one to win bets with too

There's still a choice though! The default option for the Facebook thing is on just as the default option for a new contact on Android (or at least on my HTC desire) is Google contact i.e. back me up to the cloud. In both instances the user has to act to prevent the contact from being stored online. Also let's face

I was under the impression that it's a blanket rule simply because whilst countries like the US have bodies like the FCC who ensure that the signals sent out of these devices are within normal limits, knock off Chinese fakes don't tend to conform quite so rigorously to standards and since planes are open to people
