I’ve always thought I could run a business in Hollywood with a camper full of clothes from Old Navy where I could make stars look like normal people so that no one notices them.

Maybe this would be a good time to learn how to maintain and repair autonomous devices.Until they can repair themselves, humans are still needed.
I agree the skip shift is a awful idea, but why bypass the hill hold, it’s a wonderful invention! your dad said “can” hold on a hill with the clutch, not you should hold a car on a hill with the clutch, doing that is a great way to wreck your clutch early. Driving stick isn’t just about being able to do it smoothly…
Can you read? The child didn’t have a ticket. You should learn not to trust random bloggers and research for yourself. The Delta employee was correct. The lap child section applies.
Right on. Yes, it sucks, but that rule is there for a reason (security purposes) and the system is there for a reason (filling capacity in the case of no-shows). I’ve flown Delta for years and they’re pretty good about working with you in difficult cases if you call them (they’re rebooked me on other airlines when…
You can’t transfer your ticket to another person on Southwest either.
I know it’s trendy to jump on airlines for every little slight and the airlines do make themselves to be a very attractive target. At the same time, folks needs to understand why things are the way they are. When I flew over 200 segments and 200,000 miles a year, I spent a lot of time speaking with airline personnel…
As a very frequent flyer and one who hates the airlines, I don’t think I can take the side of the family here. Once then 18 year old got on that other flight his seat was forfeited.
Sadly, yes, this is correct. 18 year doesn’t show up, that seat goes to someone else.
You don’t check-in your seat gets resold- not exactly a new process
My sympathy for people with this shit is rapidly starting to wane. He agreed to a contract and then he chose not to follow it.
His older son didn’t check in, therefore his seat was relinquished to be seated for someone else. As infuriating as that sounds, that’s how airlines work. If you don’t show up, they assign your seat to someone else that’s on standby. Is it dumb? Yes. Is it how all airlines do their business? Yes.
Except in this case the recollection of the rule was right. By the rule he agreed to the ticket was non-transferrable. Shitty as it may be delta didn’t mess that part of it up.
One, the rules are primarily in place to prevent terrorists from using assumed identities. Two, since his 18-year-old son did not check-in, he was a “no-show” and essentially relinquished his “paid-for” seat. Three, this was apparently a sold-out flight, and some adult had paid for and expecting to use that seat. …
Congratulations on failing to understand literally fucking anything.
I’m conservative and I think rolling coal is fucking stupid.
Seriously. Economic desperation is why people steal bread or take shitty jobs. Many people all over the world somehow manage to be poor without taking hostages at gunpoint.
American. Army combat vet. D. Co, 6/101st Avn Regt. Iraq, 2003/2004. I don’t give a fuck about their economic desperation. What does their economic desperation have to do with the people on those ships? What did those people on the ships do to cause their starvation? Your moral high ground is shit. You are blaming the…
I was just about to wave my impotent fist in the air and say the same.
How can anything the guards do be considered excessive? They are about to be boarded by armed pirates who will kill if they feel it is necessary. Pretty sure ‘about to be boarded by pirates with rifles who are going to kidnap and take us hostage and all of our cargo’ justifies deadly force.
