Panic stops on the highway are my biggest fear. At least around here, I’ve seen dozens of incidents where traffic suddenly slows to a near or complete stop for almost no reason. There’s usually a cop that pulled someone over, minor fender bender in the shoulder, etc.

Like I said before: no pictures = didn’t happen.

You could count the McLaren F1 there, but that’s most certainly a special case.

I think the last photo is a clue as to what they are 3D printing. In fact, I think that photo is of the 3D printer being unloaded. I’m guessing those components are put into the larger head casting mold with some sand moldings and the rest of the head is cast.

So BMW waited for Toyota to sign off on the finished Supra and then decided to unveil the big gun that will make the Supra a non competitor compared to the Z4.  Well played, BMW.

While I love that SOMEONE is making an engine like this, I just wish it was Toyota doing it. It’s like buying a 240SX with a nice turbo 4 that is all made by VW but sold by Nissan. It’s kinda the same.. but also very not.

I’m interested in what Nissans answer would be if this engine made it into the Supra. Currently…

My favorite COTA race ever was last year’s MX-5 Cup. The pack was wild, vicious, and there was never more than maybe eight car lengths between first and fourteenth. Didn’t even have a clear leader until the final corners. Absolutely magnificent.

An F1 *might* be able to hit some serious speeds on an oval if you trimmed a lot of downforce, which probably wouldn’t be illegal either. Idk how much downforce an Indycar makes on an oval compared to an F1 car though so it’s a guess.

EDIT: I stand corrected, in 2005 Montoya hit 372.6kph (231.523mph) in Monza.

There’s virtually no chance this will be their actual livery. They do something like extreme like this for the reveal and go back to the usual for the actual car. Red Bull even said the livery is a one off.

West Texas is weird. I was driving down the highway and it started raining, hard. Then the lightning came, that’s when I saw a tree about 100 yards away from me get nailed. We pulled over and took a picture, it was decimated.

I was driving to work one morning in light rain, and somebody in the left lane of the interstate jammed the brakes, causing a collision. As I hit my brakes, I felt the bald tires of my Civic start to skid, and with the bumper of the Taurus in front of me approaching quickly, I decided to ditch to the shoulder.

Sounds like Tommy Lehren or Tomi, or Tomigochi, Thumblina whatever her name is. 

A someone who has a minivan and other cars, I laugh at how I drive no differently in either, but am always tailgated in my minivan and rarely while driving my other cars.

The worst part is that you know this person hangs out in the passing lane, despite that fact that it’s just as much against the law as speeding...
