Oh man, my little brother does this on a much smaller scale and it hurts to watch him spend what little money he makes on “collecting” every single figure or item in a Marvel or Star Wars collection, most of which ends up sitting in boxes in the closet because he doesn’t have anywhere to display them all.

For real, you aren’t buying new cars under $100k as investments, no matter what you think. Get a used super car at the bottom end of it’s depreciation, or a brand new special edition Porsche if you want to make money. Buying a regular car anyone can get and FINANCING it is for years not going to make you money. This

To do what you are saying though you would need to flip it pretty quick while it is still a hot item and people want it. You either flip it quick for a few grand profit, or you sit on it for 30 years so it becomes vintage and all the other examples have crashed or rusted away. This car had a very limited window to

Dude, you would have to keep this thing like 50 years to maybe make money on it. I feel a little sorry for people who buy things like this thinking they are “investments”, but come on, it is a Chrysler 300, not a Porsche GT3. How many of the Last Call Charger/Challenger models are going to meet the same fate? Socked

I get why they are popular from a compact layout perspective. They lead directly into the kitchen a lot of the time so unloading groceries is easier. This layout also puts the kitchen windows on back and side of the house so you are not looking into the street and have more privacy. Also less driveway to maintain and

Maybe, the ideal and most usable light comes from between 4300-6000k on the color temp scale, but douches in lifted trucks think the “blue” light they see coming from factory HIDs is actually blue (really it is a by product of the angle you see the light, but the light is not really blue for the driver) so they buy

Well, at least LEDs are more designed to go into reflectors because they fire the light at the reflector usually where as HIDs just blast it in all directions because they are INTENDED to go in projectors where the projector does the light directing/limiting.

HID retrofits in reflector housings. You literally pay to make your lights sooo much worse for both yourself and everyone else. And if you go with those fucking stupid blue lights, over a normal headlight color temperature, you might as well stay home because the more blue the lights, the less you can see. Dumbasses!!

I was thinking that myself, my 997.2 is just under that weight and significantly smaller. This thing must be a rocket with 150HP more but weighing the same! Who needs a turbo at this point?

Honestly, a GT350 was also on my radar as a low/no depreciation vehicle, but I already had a 2015 GT so it was really hard for me to trade into essentially the same car after owning it for 7 years already. It looks like it would be a blast to drive though. I’m sure the RS is holding value pretty nice as well.

Depends on the car for me. I was in that mindset until the last couple months when I started looking for cars that hold value well and ended up buying a 2010 911. It is a fun weekend car that won’t get more than probably 2000 miles put on a year so while it was pricy up front at $60k, I feel it will still be worth

2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E w/100k miles, bought in 2021 for $28k @4.25%, $473/mo w/$1,000 down (business vehicle/deduction)

Sweet, their house is now coated in leaded fuel. Even if you could get the smell out, you now have a nice lead concern.

Hate to break it to you, but no one gives a shit about MI drivers in OH. I see approx. zero MI drivers in Cleveland every day but see dozens of people pulled over anyway. You are not special. If you are not white or drive a shitty car, then you are more likely to be pulled over, definitely.

Makes sense. I have been running laser jammers for the last 10 years in Ohio because at one point I almost lost my license from too many speeding tickets (like 10mph over or less, mostly). I was young then and have since learned how to speed properly, oh and Waze is now a thing, but my god, the number of traffic cops

Oh yeah, forgot about that one! That dude has almost died many times for our entertainment, and keeps going back for more. I salute you Hammond

I bet half of these are Top Gear or Richard Hammond. My first thought is Richard crashing the Rimac.
