Look at all those heavy SUVs, I don’t see a single car less than 5000lbs in that pic. I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often with how huge our cars have gotten over the last 50 years. Some of the garages were probably designed for cars half the average weight of today.

I think I am reading it clearly. Liberals would not want inspections because it is “racist” since it disproportionally hits minorities in low income areas. If safety inspections were to happen, it would wipe out whole neighborhoods of cars because they are run down and all low income people can afford.

There is a difference between safety inspections and emissions inspections. Emission inspections are bullshit, most of the time can even be paid off by just saying you did $xxx in work to the car but not actually fixing the issue. Safety inspections however should be required so rusted out turds are not going to split…
