I have used Quickpar for years on Usenet, and it has saved me many a time. This is a fantastic hint, and I can't imagine for the life of me why I never thought of it before. One of the best computer related hints on Lifehacker I have ever seen.
I couldn't uninstall this fast enough. It pops up warnings in your taskbar about every 10 seconds while you are working, takes a lot of resources, and in general was more annoying than most malware it purports to protect you from.
