The 3.0 version doesn't "download" versions of the programs but runs them online apparently (you can't see what is going on, the program just has a progress bar and tells you virtually nothing about what is happening. It went FAR faster (10-15 minutes or so) then it is possible to run even one of these programs stand…
I am in the category of folks who use Vista and like it just fine. I agree that it doesn't have that "killer feature" that would cause me to really evangelize about it to friends and family and try to convince folks to change from XP, it's more "evolutionary" than it is "revolutionary".
