No way I am interested in trying to do actual computing on those little tiny keyboards and a two inch screen. I buy a phone to be a phone. I'm ok with browsing CNN headlines or playing a game if I am stuck somewhere and REALLY bored, but to be honest I could live with a "dumb" phone just as well.

I just re-read the post and should mention that I do have "auto login" enabled, the time to the login screen (before it starts loading all the software) is about 1:15 or so.

I think this one is perfectly fine and right on target. It is an explanation of "how" to do something, is completely unbiased, and while "lifehack" is a pretty broad and hard to define term, this certainly fits in my opinion.
I also respectfully request that we keep politics off of Lifehacker. Even the most even handed post (and I thought this one was pretty even handed, focusing on the topic of getting more fashion for less, not the politics involved) will lead to the comments being turned into a political sewer, and there are already…

I have been tempted by doing a "steampunk" theme as well, but I hesitate because once you commit to a theme like that you either need to follow through completely or it is jarring when you use something doesn't match. So it becomes a bit of a commitment. I have to say I really like what he has done here though.

I like to see a better solution to the "Windows forgets your custom folders settings" problem. I think they overreached on the desire to have Windows be intelligent about how it displays folders based on content, and even if you set up folders exactly as you want them (view, size, etc.) after some period of time…
