I disagree. I had an MkVI GTI and replaced it with a Clubman in large part because of the interior. Not only do I like the design of my Mini more (I’m over all-black interiors), but it feels more high quality as well. It’s much closer to an entry-level BMW than a GTI.

I have a 2017 Clubman as well. It’s very refined; basically an entry-level BMW (the interior materials are the same as those on my wife’s X1). But it’s also a fairly unique design on the road, and it’s fun to drive. Yes, it’s the Maxi-Mini, but I appreciate those other features that make a Mini a Mini.
