As someone who doesn't know a whole lot about what's what on a car, this was immensely helpful. One question though - where's my "Johnson rod"??

I’ve been getting that way with 0-60 times. 0-60 in 5.5? Psshh... maybe if you’re a grandma.
It took me WAY too long to get that joke (my fault, not yours!)
Except a Macan would smoke this on any track or straight away
Hey - that’s John Voigts LeBaron you’re talking about !
Gota V60 wagon - co-workers immediately all ask “when’s the baby due”. Screw you people, sorry for liking a practical, sensible car!
Agreed - can’t wait to see what the new one will be like. It’s a shame that for such a rugged vehicle, the air suspension is such a big Achilles’ heal (during extreme maneuvers as well as over time).
star for using the word "tremendous"
if the alternative is RWD, then yes
Except a very lightly optioned 35i will set you back $50k. For that you price you could get a well optioned FPace that will give you the same 0-60 time and will sound a helluva lot better
Make it 3 Touaregs and a Phaeton to hedge your bet
Keep makin' the Brits look bad and the Queen will never Knight you! Doesn't Sir Doug sound great? Well it aint' going to happen if you keep this up
Plot twist - this guys brother is Homer Simpson
Your last line sums it up. The pop-up tent is the best part as it’s really only functional in the most moderate of climates with stable night temps. Your kid will freeze to death or have heatstroke in many places you dream of taking this rig if she sleeps in that thing.
This thing is absurd and it broke down after 2 miles. Even if he can “take it anywhere” - there are hundreds of things that can go wrong (thousands?) which would render it dead in the water. How could he possibly need that many switches in the cab? It is designed to “go-anywhere” but can’t fit in a drive-thru. Hmm...
Well, there’s Honda reliability and Honda re-sale (TBD) to name two
Spot on.
In Doug's Defense, he has TWICE taken the Rangey on the beach in its natural habitat (Nantucket). So, there's that...
That looks way better than most trucks on the market
Tailgate swings both ways my friend
