Overall, I think this is an ideal combination for the Cybertruck. You buy one of these trucks to get attention and be slightly controversial (vs. a Rivian or Ford), so the wrap is definitely going to help with this.

I love how right wing pop culture works. Take a silver spoon kid from a tawny Detroit suburb, then dirty him up and redneck him out and the MAGA crowd loves him. Bonus points for saying tasteless and outrageous things. That demographics’ entire existence is about living in a bubble and echo chamber, they can only

What would you throw there?

This is where the fall of man begins, it starts with blinker fluid, next it’ll say to trust your FSD Tesla as it barrels into a train, then skynet will be born.

I mean, it’s bad enough that this happened once to this person, but after that one time (which would be enough for me, BTW), wouldn’t you, as the owner, think “maybe I shouldn’t engage this FSD mode near a train crossing, as it almost ended me the last time I did?”

Building an autonomous car is hard, Tesla's corner cutting makes it harder. The system failing to recognize and respond to a railroad crossing is bad the driver trusting the machine too long is worse.

At what point does the driver accept responsibility here? I feel it is somewhere before it barrels into the side of a train, a ways before that. Still, at least it is trashed. Now don’t repair it, replace it with a regular car instead.

Nice price for the fond memory of Kelly giving a Bundy Beatdown to the girl who ripped off her Bundy Bounce.

Tesla likely has a fleet sales team who negotiates with rental car representatives and agrees on a price per unit that an average retail customer can’t get.  Basically a buy in bulk discount that won’t ever be published (so it won’t impact residuals).

Could this have been Tim K’s thought process about retirement?

Even traditional automakers have responded to market conditions with pricing changes, but they have been more masked by making “instant rebates” and discount financing options while the base prices of their cars remains constant. Its a minor difference really, but a pretty big one to the finance-ignorant masses.

A runner for credit card money that won’t bore you to tears but is also disposable when it breaks. It will find a home for something near that price. It might even last long enough for the buyer to decipher that center stack.

please vote if you’re registered, reigister if you’re eligible, and vote these fools out this year and every year.

Did you see the words "Beyond Cars" at the top of the article?

Um, it kinda sounds to me more like the cop assaulted Scheffler, than the other way around.

I am guessing the cop was over reacting. if for no other reason than acab.

IIRC this is the Korean one...I think the Envista is the Chinese one

Rental cars are abused enough. Any with any kind of performance are going to be absolutely hammered. I’m sure these were constantly rented by people who just wanted to floor it at every intersection and wring the piss out of them.

The fastest car in the world?  Rental car.  I wouldnt own a rental car if it were given to me for free.
