1st Gear — I believe this may be Musk’s new strategy for clearing production promises. Instead of leaving customers/investors hanging for product debuts that arrive years late, bust Tesla’s ass to knock out a pilot/prototype small batch and offer it for sale. Then promise more production at some point down the road.

I’ll go as far as saying it took brass balls to do it. But that’s not nearly the same thing as actually being brave. I think of it more as ill-informed actions by the biggest swinging dick.

I especially liked the back-handed flip catching the wheel while that beast cleaved through the column. Some kinda fun.

I don’t know about that. Other EV manufacturers have been regularly hiring Tesla’s engineering talent, thanks to them running from the company’s erratic management of same as well as active recruiting. It doesn’t take much to se that moving to scraping the cream off the crop of Tesla’s line managers and maybe top blue…
