JRapp: now as good as new again

As someone looking to fly a family of 4 from PDX to TLL and back mid-summer, I'd welcome this even with those April Fools type standing seats. As it stands, I'm having trouble finding anything for less than about $1600 a person. And I understand that I'd need at least 2 layovers. Even if each leg cost $300, I'd still

Kinda like Saab.

And Lada:

Reminds me of this soviet example. Though admittedly it's nowhere near autonomous or easy to operate. It does however allow for those not able to drive traditional vehicles with pedals, to get around. Not sure if there are any modern examples of this or anything on the State-side.

They probably parked it and couldn't find it again under all the snow, necessitating a new one.

That timing chains are a maintenance-free, lifetime item, and that any chain clatter is "normal". Not true. While technically the chain itself may last the lifetime of the car, none of the other pieces near by, especially the tentioners and whatnot, likely will not. See Audi 4.2L from a C6 A6.

I think they forgot to peel off the blue protective plastic...

Yea the Regal GS is actually very good looking, and not just for a Buick. It's the brand image that ruins it. You can't tell anyone you drive a Buick, without qualifying it with some story about this one not being like all the rest.

This thing is big in person. It doesn't look it on the pictures, but it's like a 1.3:1 scale copy of what you think it should look like. And I agree that it's good looking despite it being a 5 year old design at this point.

There's also shoes. Also probably licensed, but still.

So the theory is all about adding extra noise, and not some specific frequency that really annoys deer? If that's all it is then I'm sure it bogus. Deer generally know that there's cars coming, they just don't care.

Gotcha. So almost as well as Rhino Repellent Racing Stripes.

Do these things actually work? Has there been research done that shows this? Or are they like fuel line magnets that only work to channel the money from your wallet to someone else's?

Yea Portland doesn't handle snow well. They close schools at like an inch or two. This winter though has been mostly in the 50's or so. I would love some snow, but I'm also not a native Oregonian and know how to deal with it.

Mmm.. yea.. salt.. I tend to forget that they use that on the roads outside of Oregon. Here it's flat out sand if anything.

Yes, I agree. $249.85 for some pieces of rubber seems like a lot, regardless of how perfectly they are formed to a given car. Though the Walmart rubber ones are a waste of money too without the raised lip..

The Audi I had, the wipers went back into normal from "service position" if you just turned them "on" or tapped the stalk up "mist". You didn't need to go back into the MMI settings.

Great car. Had one exactly like this - '89 FBF, but black. It had a 305 with a 5-speed manual. It was a very fun car. Very tossable on the wet, and very predictable. The engine was rock solid, handling was so-so. Interior quality was typical 80s GB, so a bit boring and not terribly well built, but just about good

I always go to this church parking lot by my house. It's big and empty, plus, as a bonus, it has a nice steep hill up to a second smaller lot to practice slippery hill starts - especially important in a manual. Learned to drive there back in the day in an MX-3, learned to drive stick there in the Fiero, learned to
