To me it just seems like the driver is backing up, to be able to pick up more speed for the jump at the end of the straight..
So from the looks of it, the better ones here are Factory installed or at least Dealer optioned, right? And the worse ones are the after-market ones? Is that a safe generalization to make?
No the radio is not broken, he just hit puberty..
It doesn't matter how much of a prick someone is, never under any condition is it OK to brake-check anyone.
I think you're just reinforcing my point with that picture. It needs to be red. And while it looks like skillful and clean work, it's just not tasteful in my opinion. Not a fan of the flowers either for that matter. To each their own I guess though.
No I know what the Scandinavian Flick is. Being from Northern Europe, I've grown up with that. That's not what the Doc said to do though. As someone mentioned above: "if you're going hard enough left, you'll find yourself turning right." is what was said. That's not instructions on doing a Scandinavian Flick though..
I want to get a stack of "Folgers" stickers and go visit the parking lot of the local 24h Coffee Shop at night.... seems to be where these types gather..
So speaking of Doc Hudson and going around a track.. I still don't understand the "Turn right to go left" BS from that movie. I know how to power slide cars around corners and by the time you need to turn right, you already need to be going right, relative to the car anyways... Not that anyone should be taking driving…
Any of these training videos on YouTube? I can't seem to find any..
Judging by the vid-cap image it's more like: "This Is What The Caterham R620 Feels Like Off The Nurburgring".
Truckers frequently use those as well..
The one they use in trucks works a bit better.
Trucks are not inherently "slow". Trucking companies put limiters on them to keep them at a set speed. Usually around 70ish.. My dad is an owner-operator, and his Volvo will go 120 at least.. it's been tested.. The reasons for the limiters could very well be fuel consumption though, as well as safety and liability and…
Totally! Any self respecting Eastern European descent used car buyer/seller/shipper will fix it up like new and send it back east, making a hefty profit in the process. So what if it drives as straight as a drunk puppy.
While I want this really bad, I think it's a bit overpriced. $4k for a nice stock Fiero GT, $3k for the engine a misc bits and pieces needed for the installation, another grand or so for the Mr Mikes and the nice wheels and tires, plus a bit for the work, $8k or $9k would in my opinion be the high side of what this is…
Or just tell him we'll be doing it at night so he may not need the sunglasses..
Not really. It's a 4.2L V8 with 350hp supposedly. The parking break either really is that good, or there's some logic somewhere that essentially makes the tranny act like it's in Park if the e-brake is on.
No the e-brake makes it pretty much immovable in my case. With it being full time AWD also, you wouldn't get very far with the rear wheels not moving before the differential gave up. Hopefully there's some logic built in that would prevent that. Now if it has enough power to still rotate the wheels and slip the…
