I’ve got no skin in this game, but I can’t see how this move by the trading apps is anything but corruption.  Can anyone smarter than me explain why this might not be them bowing to rich people pressure?

Wow. Hate speech? There is plenty of stupid speech there, but hateful?  First NASDAQ halts trading. Then brokers limit trading. Now this. The crooks working overtime to stop the squeeze. The game is being gamed. LOL. 

That statement right there made me smile like the fat cat that just ate the canary, the fact the Reddit became its own hedge fund and is lead by randos is even more hilarious .

Hope this goes higher: shorting is very profitable exactly *because* it’s also incredibly risky, which is why buying on margin was a big part of what caused the Great Crash, and shorting is more-or-less the same thing with extra steps.

Not gonna lie, I think it would be hilarious if memes killed the stock market. lol 

I’ve read that some of the firms/corps that were shorting Gamestop and getting fucked over now are the ones we bailed out back in ‘08. The funds that bankroll some sports teams are involved too. I say good. Just another crack/hole exposed in this stupid system where the “economy” is booming, but people have no money

THQ Nordic now owns Timesplitters and they did announce it was coming back but recently they said it wont be a remake of TS2.

Goldeneye, PD, and TWINE for me. The holy grail trifecta of N64 FPS games.

Honestly, beyond the commercials that we’re actually all here to see, the only thing that I’ve legit enjoyed about the Game Awards is the Among Us devs basking in their moment in the sun. They still seem a fair bit overwhelmed by it all, and I can’t think of a single thing they’ve done remotely wrong or unethical…

No love for TS1 or Future Perfect? I always thought FP was... well, perfect. The weapons, multiplayer mods, level design, challenges.

On a side note, RIP FRD. Man, I miss them.

Someone needs to remake Timesplitters 2 and bring that franchise back to life.

Well, the original Goldeneye/PD team left Rare long, long ago, to form Free Radical and create TimeSplitters. But that was a different era, so we don’t necessarily need the same team.

Will say the EA era lent itself to more experimentation with the franchise. Nightfire, EoN, and From Russia with Love are all 100% different from each other but imo still play well.

Maybe....just maybe eon, Nintendo, Rare, and whoever else needs to be involved can re release goldeneye to the switch and other consoles?
