I agree this is probably what’s going on. I’m just as confused by the reports that he didn’t want to move because he was homeschooling his kids...shouldn’t that make it EASIER to be more flexible where you end up?

Obviously just raising the goalposts is the easiest solution, but physically there comes a point where they can't raise it anymore without compromising its stability.

I think the one issue would be it would have to be a weak enough laser not to screw up airplanes, but I can't believe no-one has thought of this.

This and just have some sort of laser on the tips of the field goal posts that shine STRAIGHT up. That way you can see if the ball was going directly over the pole, there would be a little red dot/spot on it during the replay. If it was going to miss the post, you wouldn't see anything. SIMPLE solution.

i still think they should just close the top of the field goal with a horizontal bar. Keep it the same, but it's require a lot more skill to kick it through a square hole
