I think I'll wait a few days to make sure the suspend feature actually works...Whenever I put my PS4 to sleep I have to manually unplug it and plug it back in in order to get it to work again, then it has to do the stupid HD check, so I never use it.

Think about the ease at which you cab easily post these videos on the PS4. With the share feature, it's easier than ever to show these quickly. My guess is this used to happen a LOT more often, but was a pain to upload, therefore we see more now than we used to

Are we doing phrasing again?

I don't listen to their music so I wasn't really aware that this song is more of an outlier for their sound. Makes it a little less innocent for sure, I just worry this is going to set a bad precedent.

It's called a generalization. The overall sound of big band was mostly the same. They all used horn sections and most of the other instruments were the same, but they were definitely distinct songs. I think we might be saying the same thing, but I don't think Thicke and Pharell were intentionally malicious in writing

Sounding like a Marvin Gaye song is not the same as being a Marvin Gaye song. Listen to any big band song from the 50's and they all sound the same, but they're not the same songs.

Musicians definitely sample from other musicians (especially rappers/hip-hop cause they can't write their own stuff). I just can't see how Blurred Lines is a blatant ripoff of Got to Give it Up. It's SIMILAR and that's it. The beginning of the song sounds the most similar, but the chord progression and melody are

Looks like you're the one who needs to move on, buddy. You're the only one who's ever bitched about my screen name. If you want to be offended by the name of a fictional character on a comedy TV show, where the name has more to do with his fake profession than his closeted homosexuality, more power to you. Lighten up.

can't tell if you're joking or you've never seen Arrested Development before.

Now playing

Or.... It is about how you can write music inspired by an artist without infringing on their songs. If no-one can use what they've heard as inspiration, music will die sooner than it already is. And no, I didn't record my songs in garage band, my band used a professional producer.

The crazy thing is I generally enjoy his parodies more than the originals ;-). Man truly is a genius...seriously, he is.

I don't know much of Bruno Mars' stuff, but he appears to at least have talent in the singing/performing ability. Can't say anything about his songwriting ability though.

Exactly, this isn't "Ice Ice Baby," it's SIMILAR at best, but that's it.

I had never listened to either song in their entirety until this morning after I learned of the verdict. I listened to "Got to Give It Up" first and the general beat reminded me of what I had heard in "Blurred Lines," but the general SOUND was completely different. Then I listened to "Blurred Lines" and it is indeed

As a Pens fan, it's amazing how often this has happened with Fleury in the past.

Yeah, but you'd expect Sony wished they had this game to sell systems over the holiday. It's not like ND games have ever sold poorly.

As with anything Naughty Dog, I'm glad they're waiting until it's ready instead of shipping out a half-assed product. Last fall was LITTERED with games that could have used a 2 or 3 month delay.

Yeah, I'm really hoping it was just an oversight by the author. Or that he somehow hadn't played it or something. But either way, he should play it tonight and come back tomorrow and switch it with MGS (which I definitely think takes more than 6 hours to play through).
