The people ND’ing this don’t have any concept of the current used car market or the value for preowned 4Runners. Even if we weren’t in a used car price-pocalypse, it would probably still be worth $7k at Cali prices.

Meanwhile, I’ve already had conversations with family about not attending Thanksgiving AND Christmas. The plan for holiday air travel really should be don’t. Make up for it next year and stay safe this year.

I’m just going to say this because I think I should: Spending hours and hours on a plane right now is not the best idea. At all. And yes- I feel you, wanting to see your parents. I haven’t seen my parents in a long time either and don’t plan on doing so until the pandemic is over. And they live in the US. In fact my

Why use “poor man’s fiberglass”? Fiberglass isn’t that expensive...

Imagine thinking teenagers don’t know about horny memes

Oh the kids definitely know where it comes from lolol

I’d make kind of a counter-argument. Especially in an age of working from home, or even checking email after hours, it’s especially important to lay down clear delineations between work and everything else. There they go, listening to their customers, when they should have been listening to a blogger.

You should make it a LOT more clear immediately that this isn’t a James May video.

I think it’s not a bad idea to have motorball integrated into the story this early. I am guessing they’re not going to follow the comic 1:1 and they could just be worldbuilding / prepping for a future Motorball arc.

That’s probably for the better. I’d rather see the first movie try and be a complete story, rather than presuming they’ll get a sequel and giving us half a story.

I’m guessing they don’t see a sequel happening, so they’re trying to cram as much as possible into one film.

“I’ve never read the manga, please don’t “@” me.

I’ve been reading Alita since the 90s, I’m actually really interested to see this movie. I’m kind of surprised they’re going to to motorball so early, but i’m excited to see it.

I feel kind of bad for all those involved with this project because I know this will not be seen by as many people as it deserves.

And they can’t be arsed to tell us the answer in the article, of course.

So, spoilers:

It was (almost certainly) an ‘icequake’, icebergs calving off of an ice-sheet.
