I think it is far to early to call GM's turn around a success. It is going to take uears of hard work and competitive products to prove that the mentality of "Old GM" is gone for good. And thats without even getting into the problems that unions can cause. GM still has a long long road to a full recovery.

I guess thats what he gets for letting astronauts use his equipment. Should have known better.

Interesting topic. Enthusiastic driving should not be done in the city.

Oh. I thought that it served purely as a range extender (through recharging the batteries).

The difference between the Volt and the i8 is that the Volts engine only provides power for the batteries. Whereas the i8's engine is connected to the rear wheels, and it provides power to the batteries when needed.

This god damned active sound bullshit needs to stop. Its not cool, neat, or innovative. This fake sound is embarrassing and quite frankly pathetic. We now know that it is no longer just the sound of your engine (such as with the M5), but that it adds sound (M135i). Which like I said is just pathetic. Pipe it in with a

Excuse me those wheels just gave me an erection.

I use the auto tilt mirrors every day backing into my parking spot at school. Since I am assigned a spot litterally up against a fence, it has probably saved my rear bumper from destrucion many times.

I am not enough of an asshole to make fun of this kid with a butt reference in my post....wait....shit....god damnit I did it again.

Camless engines. Because of their potential power, size, and reliability benefits.

Thats really weird. I didn't read the QOTD post (or the responeses) for this and yet I immeadiatly knew the Starion would win.

You know my disdain for Elon Musk makes me not even care for any mertits the car has. He has made his own car a do not want for me.

Would it work? Probably. But why stop at $0.45, why not go the UK route and charge ~$2.30 per gallon plus charge a VAT (a tax on a tax). It is not the governments responsibility to decrease fuel consumption.

Do they make a bad car? No, and I don't think they ever have (maybe the Z3 roadster). Do they make a bad BMW? Ohhhh yeah, the F10 5-Series, Z4, and 5GT come to mind immediately. The F10 is way to heavy, doesn't have enough steering feel, and is way too big. The 5GT is the same but multiplied by 10. The same with the

BMW- because they created the premium sport sedan, and continue to give the best offerings (F10 excluded).

My only problem with it is the headlights, they are just way to short. Other than that I think it looks decent. Although I don't care for the 1000sq miles of  plastic at the back.

    LOL

Whats really amazing is that 7 of those control the automatic setting. How automatic do you want it?

That picture does put the human body in my mind but it isn't the chest that i am thinking of. Bangle had a very good sense of humor when they came up with the name.

Lets say a person happened to be looking directly at a modern satellite, in your opinion would said satellite be able to get a clear enough view of the persons face to be recognizable?
