tbf I wasn’t holding that up as the general tone so much as a common talking point. It’s not unusual to see comments saying “they should reboot” or “they should bring Tony Stark back”, and it’s the sort of remark that tends to get boosted by pundits too.

This is a really dumb thing to care about, and publishing an article about it just panders to the dipshits that do.

If you don’t need to see Ms. Marvel / Wandavision / Secret Invasion then call it Captain Marvel 2, not The Marvels. The title (and the marketing) implies the homework, not the critics.

It’s not a mystery. It’s a sequel to a movie that is nobody’s favortie, featuring three characters that are nobody’s favorites, with the implict need to have watched two TV series which even the biggest Marvel fans are getting burned out on. The first Captain Marvel movie was a much easier sell since it was an origin

Thanks for clarifying. I agree that they need to rethink their approach and focus more on quality. I just wanted to point out that they are not the insolvent wreck the press wants to make them out to be.

I agree. It’s outrageous that this television miniseries does not show every single event and participant in World War II.

It made a billion dollars because it came out between Infinity War and Endgame, when Marvel frenzy was at its zenith. Anything they’d have put out then would have made a billion dollars.

The Mission Impossible movies only demand a tangential knowledge of the other Mission Impossible movies, of which there are a relative few.

It’s almost like he’s gotten hold of something that gives him a great sense of power, but it’s slowly corrupting him and twisting his good intentions.

Might watch Fingernails, definitely loved The Bear Season 1 before Season 2 turned into a soap opera drama.

They don’t actually get to write that off on their taxes. That’s illegal.
