It's all just mealy-mouthed bullshit because he doesn't know how to satisfyingly solve the mystery he's presenting. His solution to the problem of his not knowing how to solve problems is "hey, the interesting thing is the problem, not the answer".

Sentence one: "it's not a mystery." Sentence four: "the mystery of it is …" Now proceed to tie yourself into semantic and logical knots as you attempt to explain why that's not a contradiction, please:

And yet they chose to make it a mystery.

That's quite the straw man. I think what they're arguing is that leaving a central mystery of a show unsolved is unsatisfying, not that it's the only reason to watch.

"Smithers, have the cast of Family Guy killed."
"But sir-!"
"Do as I say!"

>>“Every Man’s Dream” doubles down, bringing in guarantor of hashtags Lena Dunham as Candace, Homer’s new girlfriend.

I actually think their lyrics are a strong point. They're simplistic and memorable, which is pretty much the secret sauce for good pop music.

I dunno. I thought it was kind of cool and meta. I like that she's acknowledging the history. I always thinks it's kind of feminist-ish that she's taking this song about objectifying women and make it an anthem celebrating curvy ladies, owning your sexuality, and getting your ass eaten out.

I like songs where people are insulted for their lowly socioeconomic status. It's like "daaaamn your purchasing power is insubstantial you triflin'-ass ho!"

To answer your question, the people are there "voluntarily". If the cops came and talked to the "prisoners", they would all say they're not being held against their will and that they're not under duress. Why? Because the alternative would be being severed from their community, their income, their whole life.

In fairness, I have laughed at Scientology much more than any improv troupe.

This movie's gonna bomb.

Sex, drugs, and 90-s hiphop.

>And assuming that your opinion is higher than mine — saying that I
cannot possibly critique a film properly because of the conclusion
reached upon critiquing — is just pretty assinine.

Too bad they didn't teach the argument from authority fallacy at your "thinking critically about plays" school .

Is there a "who gives a shit" section yet?

Yup. Still wrong.

Her reaction is a response to being raped. So you're blaming the victim as much as she is.

And I've read or seen a good deal of them, and I feel the misogyny charges are bullshit, and made up by people who can't critique a film thoughtfully so instead they do pop psychoanalysis on the director.

They do look like they're on a date.
