I think monogamy is significantly superior to other arrangements. It is hard and required sacrifice, forgiveness and commitment but it is the most tried and true arrangement in civilization. And I agree that not everyone in a committed relationship is teetering on the knife’s edge of cheating too.

There is a great tradition in this country to honor Native Americans as mascots. This does not stereotype or dishonor them but keep the strong values of the Indian people as characteristics we want to associate with...honor, bravery, warrior spirit...thank you Braves, Indians, Chiefs, Seminoles, Redskins.

I have no problem in this context with his salute. This is baseball, the Indians mascot is an Indian and out of joy, love and respect we use a caricature of their bravery, ferocity and tenacity to align with. Go Tribe!

I think for men it is best to abstain. For women, there could be a realistic benefit...but sex is not just a physical thing, there are emotions involved too and emotions can cloud the mind.

In the context of mascots and rivalry I see nothing wrong here.
