I hate how short in the torso women’s shirts are. I have a long torso and huge boobs so it’s really hard to find a shirt that covers my midriff while not being a tent. But I can’t do men’s shirts either because they really weird in the area between my neck and boobs.

It’s probably a good thing I don’t intend to procreate, because I would probably refuse to identify my baby’s sex and make people refer it as they or zie and dress it in both boy and girl clothes. It’s not just the clothes. People treat boy and girl babies differently the second they’re born. It would be nice to let

Seriously, do they think little boys will spontaneously combust if they wear colors other than blue, brown and gray? Will any print other than plaid turn them, you know, funny? My husband and I have been dipping into the girls’ dept since complaint Jr. Was a wee babe cuz we like color and sparkle dammit.

I used to get the pink lemonade and just eat it straight from the can. OH. MY. GOD. I would also get the Stouffer’s lasagna single servings all the time. And so much 7-up. My parents made wise choices with my diet. Totally upper-middle class shit right there.

I think the real issue here is people aren’t making sangria at home enough. Frozen OJ is a staple in my sangria.

I have a boy and am pregnant with a girl. I knew the gendering in clothes was bad, but it’s worse than I ever expected. I’m having way less fun buying clothes for my daughter than I did for my son because so many of the clothes are wildly impractical or have gross slogans.

Do they like that? Because I know that I fucking hate that all the adult women’s t-shirts I can find are overly fitted, have annoying cap sleeves that barely cover my shoulder joints, and are often way too short in the torso. Oh, and the fabric is thin and shoddy. (That’s why I mostly buy men’s t-shirts.)

My first thought was why do they even separate the toddler’s stuff into boys and girls?

How much is a can of concentrated? Actual liquid OJ is actually costlier than I expected, having gone to buy some for the wife yesterday. The good stuff - Simply OJ and such - was five bucks and up. The cheapest - Florida’s Natural - was $3 regular price. Even fake OJ like Sunny Delight was more expensive. Maybe I

I have two recipes that call for a tablespoon of OJ concentrate — rhubarb fool and a braised pork in the slow cooker. Usually I use regular on but the other day, on a whim, I bought a can of the stuff. My daughter (hipster child who actually likes kambucha) was befuddled and then entertained.

Yeah, it’s dumb. And it’s weird how much more gendered things are than they were when, say, I was a wee one in the 70s. I feel like we’ve lost ground in a lot of ways.

Whyyyyyy are clothes for kids under the age of 9 or 10 (when bodies start to be different) or especially under the age of 3 or 4 (when kids can have their own opinions about what they wear) so terribly gendered?

We use it to make Orange Julius which is a Christmas morning tradition in our family. I’ve never used it for it’s intended use but Orange Julius is fucking delicious.

Shhhh. Be quiet or you’re going to attract all the paleo/primal people and they’ll go on and on about it.

My mom makes daiquiris from the frozen concentrate lemonade, frozen strawberries, sprite, and rum. They’re pretty delicious.

Banana Smoothy - 2 overripe banana, 1/4-2/3 cup orange concentrate, 1/4 cup any other frozen juice/punch concentrate, fill rest of blender with ice. Blend.

Who even buys juice instead of juicing their own organic CSA box fresh oranges picked hours earlier by fair-wage, shade-grown, on-the-path-to-citizenship workers?

Americans drank less orange juice in 2015 than in any year since Nielsen began collecting data in 2002...

I’d rather buy this than anything Kardashian inspired.

I think your last idea is on point. The reality is that nothing is ever “dead” until twenty years later when some “cool” people decide to resurrect something and then we see if it eventually trickles down. If concentrate truly dies and becomes a novelty product I wouldn’t be surprised.
