This happened to me in Madden 11. Falcons OT Sam Baker got the same injury as shown here. It happens, and it's in a game; I don't see what's wrong with it. Now, if Madden had life-ending injuries, that might be cause for concern.

I detest this idea, much more than the idea of buying non-permanent content. Blatant cashing in by publishers like this is a cancer on the gaming world. It was revolting enough when Bethesda and Microsoft did it on Skyrim — can only hope this isn't the future.

To me this is only the worst DLC ever if in-game means of obtaining extra lives are subsequently limited. That makes it a free-to-play manipulation on a paid-for game.
