Interesting... and unconventional. If anyone can pull that design off, it's Valve.

I feel like there are way too many superhero movies. Hollywood's been churning them out incessantly for over ten years now. Hell, some superheroes have multiple film franchises in that time. Last year had Dark Knight Rises though, so of course it wins.
I was nine at the height of the Pokemon mania, so I played blue version and, when it came out, gold. But I was uninspired by the ruby/sapphire and especially diamond/pearl releases. A friend bought me Heartgold a couple of years ago, which I surprisingly enjoyed for the nostsalgia value, so I thought I'd try white…
Great. now we can build Metal Gears to replace them.
As an adult I'm pretty generally opposed to censorship, but these games have ESRB and PEGI ratings for a reason. Anti-video game violence lobbyists are going to have a point until these ratings are enforced like they are for film and and great, mature games like GTA stop being sold to children at retail.
I feel like this is some sort of middle American effort to win the war of political correctness. If there's some serious majority among native Americans who are offended by this, great (I'm not American so I don't know) but if this becomes a political issue there is no point.
Mark Meer's such a dude who's gone completely unnoticed right at the front.
This makes me incredibly sad. The ferocity of the attack by Beer borders on libel and it's tragic to see an indie developer spooked out of the industry by the media because they stand up to the corporations.
I really wish they'd take a step back and maybe do something more with the existing ~600 pokemon. There's no value to a new generation's worth of them, especially when they're this hard-up for new ideas. And the naming! Dammit! Reckon there'll be a Wordplay-type pokemon called "Portmantastic" next time?
At least it worked offline.
