Not to bitch about advertising per se (everything free comes at a price), but there are a few podcasts I no longer listen to because of the incessant advertising. Equilibrium is still being determined in the podcast community.

The worst is I think many of them *actually don’t think* they are being bigoted. It's sad.
I’ll give them two weeks a most to back paddle on this decision. In those two weeks comment sections will be filled with “DISLIKE!!!!” and “Like this comment to dislike” comments under every video, making the situation worse for EVERYONE.
While I can only roll my eyes at dipshit brigades to downvote a trailer because something something ethics in game journalism, this fucking sucks. Dislike count is still incredibly important when you’re doing things like, say, googling a problem and trying to find a fix. Clicking onto a video and seeing it has a 1:5…
Came to say something similar. That feature has come in handy when I watched videos about working on a car, something I am not very good at, so I try to find people who have good concise information. If it had a high dislike I would usually shoot down to the comments to see if it was genuine or people clowning…
I know for a fact that I have seen channels that already had the count disabled. There must have been some algorithm penalty for disabling it I guess because I always wondered why everyone didn’t do it.
im sure it was entirely to protect people and not at all influenced by large corporations getting indignant over people disliking their videos.
Adblock for Life
I kinda likes seeing the dislike counter. If you clicked on a video you were unsure of you could immediately see if it was worth your time... After the ads of course.
I feel no shame in using AdBlock for that shit. It’s getting a bit out of hand, given the frequency and length, and how more and more of them are unable to be skipped. If I want to watch a minute long trailer, I shouldn’t have to sit through a 2 unskippable 30 sec ads of products I don’t care or need just to get to it.
They’ve also added extra commercials. It just gets better and better.
So far they sold out in minutes and won’t have another batch to go on sell until Q2 2022, so I don’t see a discount anytime soon. If anything this inflation will make their prices go up.
I have to assume this was sarcasm. It is weird to use that game to show of this new state of the art product, the main draw of which is that it can apparently play more complex games that the Switch or a phone cannot.
Plus it’s got to be however-many minutes long to qualify for some level of ad revenue, so something that could be explored/explained/enjoyed in less than two minutes is stretched interminably out to twelve.
I’m surprised there’s no review embargo for a film releasing 7 weeks away.
The authoritarian country has reported zero cases of covid-19 since the pandemic began.
Seems careless of that cop to park his car in an area where Teslas operate. He was asking for it.
I like Uncharted, but I never thought the story or the characters were interesting enough on their own to justify a movie. They’re charming in the context of an action-based video game. Take the gameplay away, and you’re left with the plot of one of those wannabe Raiders of the Lost Ark TV movies from the ‘80s.
That kinda sounds like how they make all video game movies.
I had an off day after both shots.
