UM EX-FUCKING-CUSE ME?! NO TWISTER?!

RETREAT MODE

Man, as someone in a hot location, screw leather in its many, many forms. Give me alcantara or cloth, dang it. Does not burn butt.

Pat on the back to whatever teacher came up with this, my bet is it’s a Transition Year project but it’s way better for student engagement than the usual crap they do.

If this is real, it’s footage from the most oddly-placed security camera in history. Who puts a security camera at eye level several inches out from a corridor wall?

I’m sure the ol’sturgeon came swimming along, minding his business one day.

Bitch, this is like all I do.

Hm....I actually do like cerebral sci fi and detective noir style films. And multiple people are saying it is visually stunning, even if they didn’t love the content of the movie itself. Eh, I’ll probably get around to giving it a watch, just to say I did.

I can’t stop thinking about how beautiful everything about this movie was. It’s definitely my new favorite. I saw it last night and I’m still in awe.

It was really good, though! If you like the original one, this is a basically perfect sequel. Seriously, it’s really good.

Whether 2049 gets a sequel (or a franchise???) doesn’t matter. It was a worthy sequel, and I was someone who was appalled by the idea of a Blade Runner sequel.

They can bring back the intermission when they stop showing me 20 minutes of commercials when my movie is supposed to start

I saw it this weekend. It was fantastic. Also, it was chock-full of amazing female performances.

I disagree about Leto’s character. Luv was clearly terrified of him and it made her desperate and terrifying by extension. I don’t recall any plot holes that stuck out. The story was really just a bunch of “deadly coincidences” as K himself says early in the film.

The original film was pretty small scale in terms of story. Four androids go AWOL, cop hunts them down. This new film really makes it a bigger story while also being a pretty simple story. Most sequels are just more of the same. This film made the first better while also being a great film in its own right.

as opposed to Deckard just stumbling into things that happen conveniently

It was nearly three hours long, but didn’t actually feel like it was nearly three hours long. It had an extraordinary way of pacing itself, and you just wanted to soak in every shot as much as possible.

Ahahahahahahaha
