He didn’t pick Palin, he was actually against it but yielded to his campaign managers. Still a bad call on his part but I have trouble judging him on that one, she was a team pick and they sold her hard. Luckily for us she torpedoed the ever-loving shit out of his run, considering his behavior since 2008 I think we

I honestly believe Allen was the best actor for that role. The character is a reflection of him in many ways, it’s a very meta casting to be honest. And the stories of him annoying and pissing off the rest of the cast during production are just hilarious.

The fact they look goofy and terrible is not lost on those who choose to sport them, it’s kind of the point.

I think it really helps for kids if they are raised in a curious environment. My Dad was a trivia buff and we were always playing games that involved random facts not covered in school. It’s funny because now I realize that his whole side of the family has the incredibly annoying trait of being Facebook know-it-alls

I feel like I can honestly say I learned more geography from a Geosafari toy and a globe in my house growing up than I ever learned from public education. In my experience people who travel abroad will generally self-educate about this stuff because it’s relevant to their personal experience. If I had never left the

Interesting maybe, not fun though.

We had a bunch of them installed in my area around ten years ago and it was pretty sketchy to start out. Took a couple years before they turned out to help the flow of traffic in the long run.

Please my fellow jezzers, be calm.

Oh god yes, the old one was so bad. It’s just taking for frigging ever to finish.

Seems like a bog standard roundabout. It’s funny how something so simple manages to scramble people’s brains.

Heh, the whole I-5 Nalley Valley viaduct project started before I was even in high school, I’m 34 now and they are STILL working on it. It’s never going to be finished, I called this a few years ago. It’s the construction project that never ends...

I hate to break it to you but nobody pays any attention to the variable speed zones going through Seattle. I go through there nearly every day and you simply cannot slow down when it says 35 mph or you will get rear ended, right before you run into a wall of traffic anyways. They are utterly pointless.

If I had to guess he thought they were coming down the track and he committed to going high. Just didn’t work out.

Cheeky.

Yeah, honestly it was the stigma not the health risks that did it for me. I started smoking when I was in the military and literally from when I started it was fine and normal to when I decided to quit I was a pariah, we’re talking about a period of a few years too. It was bizarre.

I think it depends on your genes. Like I said, smoking is not healthy but some people tolerate it better than others. All the elders in my family smoke like chimneys with no health complications. I support smoking bans in public places though, it’s one thing if an individual chooses to do it, others shouldn’t be

I used to smoke and I miss it. Frankly the reason why I quit is because it’s been deemed un-cool and you take a ton of shit for it. I don’t think anyone is pro-smoking anymore because of social norms, when I saw this story a few weeks ago I immediately thought these celebs were going to take a popularity hit because

I will never understand the stunts with production cars towing flying things. I don’t find pulling something specifically designed to roll extremely well particularly impressive. Get off my lawn, rawr.

Yeah, it’s the reason why planes are mostly shaped like big tubes or cylinders, it’s an excellent pressure vessel. I’d imagine trying to rapidly depressurize the fuselage would cause more trouble than it would help, more likely the plane would just go for an emergency landing as quickly as possible and evacuate. I was
