This is probably a crazy question and I'm sure I'll get trolled for it but, how would I apply this method to programming code?

What I took away from the idea is that you can go from zero knowledge to being someone who knows what they're talking about with 20 hours of practice (plus steps 1-3). As a ukulele player myself I can tell you that the first 20 hours of practice were the biggest jump in skill because I essentially went from zero uke

I'm looking forward to the book, I've had it on pre-order for a while now.

I'm not understanding the sarcasm in the comments here. He explains clearly at the beginning of the talk that he's not trying to tell you that you'll be an expert in 20 hours, just that you'll know a new skill. You can "know" how to play the ukelele but you won't be putting on concerts. This is just how long it takes

Some people lack self-correct, this keeps them from learning more, or reaching an expert level.

Exactly – it's a method for learning something new, and going from knowing absolutely nothing to performing reasonably well. Once you make it through the early frustrations, it's easier to keep going.

There's nothing saying you can't keep practicing or learning any skill.
