Click and Grow mini tomatoes! I've been product testing this smart-pot for a week now and it's doing pretty well. Earlier this summer I had some tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and banana peppers growing but I got my fill and finished up with them. I also have a cactus in the bathroom and a lucky bamboo chute my…
I should really get back into blogging on Hackerspace. I don't know why I stopped, I think I was out of ideas and pursuing other projects. I really enjoy writing though and it was awesome seeing pieces I wrote on the Lifehacker page.

Bingo! I just found it and it works pretty well.
I agree with most of this points here. Smartwatches haven't matured completely yet but they're pretty handy if you've got one.
Also, thanks for linking to my post! :)
What is the best thing for someone who is 19, has a thin, dirtlip looking mustache and just a tiny amount of thin, thin stubble on the chin?
I was totally planning on writing a post like this for Hackerspace until I heard you mention you were working on one on the podcast. Awesome run down!
Oh I've been using voice commands since I was on Gingerbread. They're just too cool. I remember when I got my Nexus 7 I was going nuts with search because it could talk back to me! I use it for finding a place in maps mostly and when I just want to outsmart someone ;)
Hahah yes I can do it. Turn the phone on, swipe up from the bottom, say "Google" then begin the search.
In Android's defense, you can just enter into Google Now and use the hotword, "Google" to begin a voice search. I know that isn't exactly touch-free but it's something I think you could do if you aren't using any type of lockscreen security.
It definitely has its uses right now, it just needs more widespread adoption and that's something Apple could do.
Well I remember earlier this year or maybe late last year, Google was talking about how passwords are becoming moot and we need to move onto better solutions for passwords, which is where biometrics like fingerprints could come in. I think that would be sweet. And you're probably right about Apple not heading in the…
Android fanboy here. The only reason I get excited for events from Apple is because normally, they set the standards for the rest of the industry to follow. Then everyone else figures out a way to one-up whatever Apple has done then we get really awesome stuff.
The one thing I would LOVE from Apple, even though it…
This is exactly the reason why I didn't go to college after graduating high school. I graduated about 3 years ago this summer and still haven't gone to school. How can you afford to go to school when your parents really don't have money to pay for you and you're trying to avoid being in crazy, $50,000+ debt? I just…
Yes! This is exactly what I've been waiting for. I don't use Pandora but I am a big Google Music user so this is awesome.
This keyboard is awesome.
But isn't copying files different from backing up? That's what gets me I think.
I keep hearing more and more about rsync and I'm getting curious about it. I suppose I should look into it some time. I'm not a programmer at all but I would really love to learn how to code and do things like that.
Backing up is another reason I would have one, I just never have a good time doing it. I'm always having problems with Crashplan and I haven't taken the time to find something besides Crashplan. I'm using Syncback right now just to backup all the photos I take but is that really a good solution for a whole computer…
